In today’s gospel Jesus challenges us to rise to the new life he offers us. Let us pray that we will have as much faith as those who carried the paralysed man to Jesus. The petitions are based on our Archbishop’s 5 priorities in the White Paper.

CELBRANT (invite the congregation to join in the Prayer for Renewal)
God, our loving Father, who made us your children in Baptism, pour out on us afresh the gifts of your Holy Spirit. Open our ears to hear your Word, open our hearts to you in prayer, that we may receive with ever deeper faith the Bread of Life. Strengthened through these gifts make us signs of your presence to the world of today. Father, hear our humble prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
